American Mensa is partnering with m-Escape, the Escape Room Special Interest Group, to evaluate escape rooms based on their difficulty, their design, their innovation and award them an UNLOCKED badge.
Our Escape Artists will evaluate escape rooms based upon our judging criteria and submit honest, constructive comments to be returned to the escape room owners and designers. Our information page will you an idea about what to expect.
What is the UNLOCKED badge and what does it signify?
We have multiple badges that escape rooms can earn, and each badge represents a certified, play-tested escape room that has been rated on standardized criteria by American Mensa's Escape Artists.

Who are the Escape Artists?
Our Escape Artists are members of the M-Escape Special Interest Group, a community of Mensa members and avid escape room enthusiasts. Their vision is to compile a comprehensive directory of escape rooms across the country, sharing our experiences, ratings, and recommendations.
